Firepetals is a Cape Town based jewellery design studio that specialises in unique, contemporary and handmade jewellery. It was established in 2005, to showcase creative jewellery design.

The name ‘Firepetals’ reflects the hard and soft elements represented, and refers to the fact that they use fire in the process of making jewellery, while ‘petals’ are soft and feminine, and symbolic of them as women.

The logo is a pin cushion flower, an indigenous flower to South Africa.

Adeline is passionate about jewellery and aim to make people more aware of the delights of handmade jewellery through her work.

Each new or aspiring designer has their own distinctive style and specific techniques of speciality. Their work reflects themselves as artists and creators.

“Meeting people with unusual jewellery, reveals a lot about them as individuals. To me jewellery is not just about adornment, but rather an expression of a person’s individuality.” – Adeline

Adeline’s work embodies a quirkiness and a sense of humour.

“I love collecting stories and moments that I translate directly into jewellery themes.” – Adeline

Adeline is a member of the Fine Ounce Goldsmith Collective, which aims to create an awareness for handmade, art jewellery in South Africa.
